Tiffany Style Waterfall Window

In the past 30 years I have never really designed a opalescent glass “landscape ” window let alone a Tiffany Style landscape window. So when I was commissioned to do a water scene I had a lot of trepidation that it could really turn out one of two ways, really great or be really bad. After making several sketches I settled on a autumn scene with a waterfall. The client wanted to add water flowers in the foreground so it is a fall scene with blooming tropical flowers. I thought you all would enjoy seeing a traditional window from us for a change.

I was walking across my yard Friday while it was snowing here in Waco. I looked up at the fall colors in the trees contrasted by my red tropical hibiscus in full bloom – so, fall colors and tropical flowers do work together even in the snow. The hibiscus is now frozen and dead; winter is here. Good thing stained glass flowers don’t die in the winter.
